AGM 2011

"New" committee elected and then a chance to share wine and cheese and conversation with neighbours to celebrate another successful year.

Pictures are a bit grainy because I didn't want to spoil the atmosphere by using flash. They capture the enjoyment of the evening however!

raffle

Total monies collected £554.31 with the prize therefore standing at £55.40. The Winning ticket number is 0574.

The Resource Centre for the Blind will therefore  have some £500 from NENA to add to their funds. We fell well short of our aimed amount but we hope that the money will be useful to them all.

Thanks to all who bought tickets, and again to Diana for her organisation.

beer tasting

A very successful beer tasting evening took place at the Coventry Resource Centre for the Blind on Friday 30th September. Some 45 people tasted an assortment of beers with expertise provided by Alexander Wines of Earlsdon. It is not clear how the morning of Saturday 1st October was greeted by many of the tasters!

With thanks to everyone who helped to make it a success and particularly to Diana for all her hard work in making it happen.

hanging baskets

The NENA hanging basket festival has brightened up the streets and doorways of our area through June. The prizewinner will be announced soon. Meanwhile, here is a selection.

PS And the winner of the £50 garden token is 44 Spencer Avenue...larger photos than the others here. Congratulations from NENA members all.
